CLICK Arts Foundation (registered charity 1203549)
CLICK Arts Foundation (www.clickartsfoundation.org.uk) is a registered charity which aims to foster social inclusion, community growth and personal development through the arts. Based in the Midlands, United Kingdom, it provides grant funding to support grassroots creative arts programmes, particularly those that build confidence/self-worth and promote wellbeing and social inclusion.
First established as CLICK productions in 1993, the group performed, produced and ran drama and movement workshops globally, including at Edinburgh Film Festival, to support, fundraise and connect the international performing arts community. The charity now supports those who provide a safe and nurturing space and promote growth within the performing arts.
To date, the foundation’s grants have supported silent discos for those with dementia and autism, inner-city dance schools, theatre in education programmes in deprived areas and an African cultural language group preserving heritage through spoken word and drama, to name a few!
Upcoming initiatives include:
- Fundraising Burlesque-A-Thon - a 5-hour long Burlesque session centred on confidence and self-love
- Releasing a charity single of David Essex’s “Falling Angels Riding” alongside VERU, the Luton & Bedfordshire Violence and Exploitation Reduction Unit, to raise awareness of their #justdropit campaign to tackle knife crime.
- A variety show with the NHFT Suicide Prevention team to raise awareness of World Suicide Prevention Day
