It may be summer, but July proved to be an absolutely fantastic month for book publicity results at The Book Publicist with lots of brilliant high-profile national media coverage for our amazing authors, experts and thought leaders.
We had the huge privilege to work with author Dr Liz O' Riordan on the publicity for her incredible memoir Under the Knife (published by Unbound) - the remarkable true story of breast cancer surgeon Liz's own experience in being diagnosed with the disease. As well as a high-profile book review in The Guardian and a double page feature in the Daily Telegraph, Liz's story was featured everywhere from the BBC to the Huff Post, to Newsweek and much much more with her book hitting Number One Amazon best-seller in several categories!
Other book publicity highlights include a PR campaign for Bloomsbury and their fascinating book Age of the City with coverage on the Monacle podcast, Business Leader and BBC World Business Report and The LinkedIn Book Club chose Leader as Healer (LID Publishing) author Nicholas Janni to share his wisdom on new age leadership and HR Zone featured Adam Kingl talking creativity tips from his book Sparking Success (Kogan Page).
There was a brilliant article on journaling prompts in Woman's Health for our authors Lianna Champ (How to Grieve Like a Champ, Red Door Press), Petra Velzeboer (Begin with You, Kogan Page) Becky Hall (The Art of Enough, Practical Inspiration Publishing) and Mimi Nicklin (Softening the Edge, The Dreamwork Collective).
As always there was a vast spread of book PR across the National and Global business media securing articles just this month in Wired, The Times, Harvard Business Review and we saw a fantastic features publish in Forbes on How Should Leaders Really Use Their Summer Break? an article on how to stop your staff quitting with comments from some of our incredible leadership experts and a look at one of the hottest topics around Is Artificial Intelligence A Goldmine Or A Minefield For Leaders?
Experts from the Corporate Research Forum wrote in HR Magazine about challenging old assumptions of succession planning in HR Director and The People Space and the authors of The Next Leadership Team, Thomas Keil and Marianna Zangrillo (Routledge) were featured in Business Leader talking how to select, build, and optimise your top team and The Alignment Advantage author Richard Nugent talked how to transform your business strategy and culture.
This month Antionette Oglethorpe author of Confident Careers Conversations, saw a series of advice pieces in Stylist as well as features and reviews in Forbes, Elite Business, Personnel Today, SME plus many more and yet another busy month for Becky Hall, author of The Art of Enough who was featured or interviewed by Forbes, Woman & Home; Women’s Health; Woman; Business Leader plus many more and Petra Velzeboer (Begin with You, Kogan Page) spoke to Metro about her life growing up in one of the world’s most notorious cults.
Phew! Its been a busy month and showing absolutely no signs of getting any quieter as we head into August we are now thinking ahead to the autumn as book publicity campaigns start for books publishing in September and October.
