Elliott & Thompson choose The Book Publicist for two major publicity campaigns

The Book Publicist has been appointed by Elliot & Thompson to lead the publicity campaigns for two of its major 2025 titles!

We’re delighted to announce that The Book Publicist has been appointed by Elliot & Thompson to lead the publicity campaigns for two of its major 2025 titles!

A startlingly new vision of motherhood, Mother Animal (publishing 27 February 2025) is written by Helen Jukes, author of the critically acclaimed A Honeybee Heart Has Five Openings.

Combining both a memoir-like, visceral attempt to make sense of a body changed by pregnancy with fresh insights on evolutionary biology, Mother Animal explores what it means to be a mother, both human and otherwise, and how the polluted stuff of human industry has come to influence it.

Written by award-winning immigration and asylum reporter Nicola Kelly, Anywhere But Here: How Britain’s Broken Asylum System Fails Us All (publishing 3 April 2025) is a powerful exposé of Britain’s defunct asylum system.

Drawing on insider information from the Home Office, Kelly takes us behind the scenes of the small boats crisis for the first time, sharing powerful stories of war-torn teenagers and trafficked women attempting to make local communities their new home. Situated on the beaches and the ports, in the hotels, the courtrooms and the detention centres, this is a searing investigation into one of the most urgent and shocking injustices of our time.

Continuing a strong ongoing relationship with Elliott & Thompson, The Book Publicist team will be securing high-profile coverage and interviews across national print and online media, radio and broadcast opportunities, book reviews and serialisation, as well as podcast appearances.

Rhian Pearson, Associate Director at The Book Publicist, said:

“The Book Publicist is thrilled to have been chosen to partner with Elliott & Thompson on these two major book PR campaigns next year. We’re honoured to be bringing these important stories to readers and can’t wait to work together to create a real buzz that resonates far and wide.”

Amy Greaves, Head of Publicity & Marketing at Elliott & Thompson said:

“We are thrilled to be working with the team at The Book Publicist once again on the campaigns for Helen Jukes’ Mother Animal and Nicola Kelly’s Anywhere But Here. These are both titles that we’re incredibly excited about at Elliott & Thompson, and are so grateful to have the support of The Book Publicist in helping them to fly!”
